Moving Waters: The Colorado River and the West
In 2007, water issues in the West were peripheral for many people. The exhibit/event Moving Waters: The Colorado River and the West was spearheaded by the Arizona Humanities Council and public historian Nancy Dallett, along with six other western humanities councils. Ideahouse created the visuals for the year-long event, which included an identity system and traveling exhibit of sixteen seven-foot high panels that explored scientific, environmental, historical, and cultural aspects of the Colorado River watershed. The event helped bring the subject of water into the public consciousness and started important conversations.
